Endacott Motor Group have put their full weight behind the event management team that will bring the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and Vodafone Warriors to Christchurch.
Manly will take on the Warriors at AMI Stadium on June 9 and Endacott Motor Group has become a key partner to deliver this top NRL fixture to Christchurch.
“We need to get behind great initiatives like this to make sure we get more NRL matches in Christchurch,” says EMG Director Frank Endacott. “If we stop supporting these events, they will simply stop coming to our city.”
Frank Endacott has had a distinguished career as the rugby league coach of the Kiwis, the Warriors and Super League clubs in England.
“I love the game of rugby league and the game has been very good to me over to the years, so this is one way for me to give back to the game,” says Endacott.
Match organiser Justin Wallace says that Endacott has been a wonderful supporter of all things rugby league in New Zealand and specifically in Canterbury.
“I feel really privileged that Frank partner with the us to make the Manly match a success,” says Wallace, director of Walco Events.
“Attracting a team like Manly to Christchurch carries a significant cost and it would not be possible without support from EMG and our other partners.”
The other key supporters behind the match between Manly and the Warriors are the Christchurch International Airport, the Christchurch City Council, the Christchurch Casino and ChristchurchNZ.
Frank Endacott says he can’t wait to see the Sea Eagles take on the Warriors on June 9.
“The Penrith match against the Warriors in 2016 was a night to remember, but I expect this to be an even a bigger event,” says Endacott.
“Manly plays a great brand of rugby league and over the years has had a strong link with New Zealand players and coaches. And looking at the way the Warriors are playing right now, it will be a fantastic match.”
Endacott says that supporting this match will create great exposure for his company which recently rebranded to EMG. “And if I can help the game of rugby league, it’s a win-win situation.”
